Kanpur. The husband killed his wife on suspicion of illicit relations in Kamalpur, Maharajpur. The accused escaped by throwing the wife’s body in the field. Police is searching for the accused on the basis of mobile location.
About 40-year-old farmer Sanjay Yadav, resident of Maharajpur Kamalpur, had gone to harvest paddy on Saturday morning with his 36-year-old wife Shardal. At the same time, there was a dispute between the two and Sanjay killed his wife by strangling her after striking her with a sharp weapon.
After carrying out the accused incident, leaving the dead body in the field, he fled. When the villagers reached towards the fields in the morning, they informed the police after seeing the dead body. On the information of the murder, a crowd of villagers gathered on the spot. Based on the location of the mobile, the accused is being traced.
When the police reached the spot after getting the location near Najafgarh, the mobile was found in a millet field but nothing was found of the accused. Several teams of police are searching for the accused on the banks of the Ganges.
Maharajpur police station in-charge Satish Rathore told that the matter of murder of wife by husband Sanjay is coming to the fore on suspicion of illicit relations. Sanjay is absconding, search is on.
