Ghaziabad. Two assailants shot former councilor Phool Kunwar in Bamhita area of Ghaziabad on the night of Diwali. The incident is being told of his farm house, when he was walking. On going near the toilet, both the miscreants who were already ambushed opened fire, in which one bullet hit their thigh. After this, both the attackers fled after firing from Phool Kunwar’s licensed weapon. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital, where his condition is out of danger.
Firing on sight
SHO Kavi Nagar Amit Kumar said that on the complaint of the victim, a case of murderous assault has been registered against unknown assailants. Footage of CCTV cameras installed in and around the farm house is being scrutinized. Phool Kunwar says that after performing Diwali puja on Monday, he had come to his farm house located in the village itself. He is suffering from diabetes, so he walks inside the farm house for about one to one and a half hours every evening.
Bullet in thigh
Phool Kunwar told that during the first time, when he went towards the toilet for a brief moment, two youths were sitting here. On seeing them, both of them started firing immediately. He tried to save himself by running, but a bullet hit him in the thigh of his right leg. The victim immediately called up his family and the police and informed about the matter. He has been admitted to a private hospital.
Masked crooks
It is not yet known who carried out the attack or got it done. Phool Kunwar told that both the attackers had covered their head and face with a scarf, due to which they could not see the face. In the initial investigation, enmity is being told as the reason for the attack. The SHO says that they are investigating on the basis of the evidence found from the spot. Will bust the matter soon.
