Etawah. After the funeral of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, the entire Saifai village and Kothi are in mourning. On Wednesday, all the family members including son Akhilesh Yadav and daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav attended the purification ceremony. After reaching the funeral site in the morning, Akhilesh selected the ashes of his father and now preparations are on for immersion in Haridwar. It is also being told that Netaji’s thirteenth rites will not take place, but the tribute meeting will be held in the festival pandal.

After the death of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday in a private hospital in Gurugram, the body was brought to the ancestral residence Saifai village. On Tuesday, the last rites were performed on family land in Saifai village, which was lit by former chief minister’s son Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh, who reached the funeral site on Wednesday morning, picked up the ashes of his father.
At the same time, all the family members including Akhilesh attended the purification ceremony in the house. Prateek Yadav, brother Abhayram Singh Yadav, Shivpal Singh Yadav, Rajpal Singh Yadav, nephew former MP Dharmendra Yadav, Tej Pratap Singh Yadav, District Panchayat President Abhishek Yadav got the head shaved. Family women including Akhilesh’s wife Dimple Yadav also participated in the purification ceremony.
Tribute meeting will be held in Mahotsav pandal, bone immersion in Haridwar
According to the people associated with the family, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s thirteenth will not be organized, but on the 11th day after the havan, a tribute meeting will be organized in the Mahotsav pandal. Its preparations have been started. At the same time, the ashes selected by Akhilesh and family members from the funeral site have been collected in an urn and kept at a safe place. These ashes will be immersed in Haridwar. The cremation site has been levelled, where the burial site will be built. Apart from this, a big statue of Netaji will be installed in Saifai village.
Many leaders including Nitish reached to express condolences
People started arriving at Saifai’s residence from 9 am to express condolences. At around 10 am, first of all, former Bihar MP Pappu Yadav, followed by Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh, JDU leader KC Tyagi, state Minister of State for Sports Girish Yadav and Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh, poet and former MP Uday Pratap Singh arrived. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at 2:25 pm came to the former Chief Minister and offered flowers to Netaji’s portrait. At four o’clock in the evening, Legislative Council Chairman Manvendra Singh and Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal, former Deputy CM Dr. Dinesh Sharma also reached.
