Gorakhpur. The functioning of the police in Gorakhpur district has started deteriorating again. To register a case, the victims are making rounds of the police station and the office of the officers. This fact has come to the fore in a survey conducted through the Public Approval Rating System. The ADG Zone Office released the report of the survey which lasted for six months. The police functioning of Basti district was the best in the zone. Gorakhpur is at the last position in the list.
Most complaints about not writing a lawsuit
The officers are getting complaints that when the complainants reach the police stations, their complaints are heard, but the police delay in writing the FIR. This is the reason that in the survey conducted in the month of August, only 11.4 percent of the people of the district were satisfied with the FIR. Whereas when the survey started in March, this figure was 30.22 percent. The graph of satisfied people in IGRS has increased. In March, 25.47 percent people were satisfied, in August this figure was 35.1 percent. In the Public Approval Rating System, Basti is on the first rank, Sant Kabirnagar on the second, Siddharthnagar on the third, Deoria on the fourth, Kushinagar on the fifth, Maharajganj district police on the sixth place.
