Lakhimpur. A sensational case of gang-rape with a 15-year-old girl has come to light in Mohammadi Kotwali area. The police have arrested all of them by registering a named FIR against the five accused in this incident. All the accused are residents of the same village. The girl has been referred to Lucknow for treatment.
The incident is of a village in Mohammadi Kotwali area. A 15-year-old girl resident of this village was on Saturday night going to give food to her grandmother living in another house located some distance away from her house. Then five youths of the village caught hold of him and forcibly dragged him to the sugarcane field. There the five accused carried out the incident of gang-rape with the girl.
Late in the night, the teenager, who was released from the clutches of the accused, reached back to her house and told her ordeal to the family members. The condition of the girl was very bad, then the family members took her to the hospital. The girl was medically examined. On getting the information, the police also reached the hospital and the girl’s magisterial statement was recorded. After this, due to the serious condition of the girl, she was referred to Lucknow.
In the incident, the police have arrested all the accused by registering a case against Nikhil, Jairam, Pushpendra, Vimal and Pawan of the village itself under the gang rape and POCSO Act on the complaint of the victim’s brother. Police say that the teenager is already having a love affair with Nikhil. But Nikhil said four other friends also came on the spot, who together carried out this incident.
The victim girl belongs to Scheduled Caste and the accused also belong to her community. There is an atmosphere of tension in the village regarding the incident, in view of which police and PAC force have been deployed. SP Sanjeev Suman and SP Arun Kumar Singh reached the village and inspected the spot.
ASP Arun Kumar Singh said that along with the medical examination of the teenager, her magisterial statement has been recorded, in which she has given the names of four accused, although five accused have been named in the FIR. The police have arrested all the accused, who are being interrogated.
