Lucknow. Due to the government tightening the noose on the mafia Atiq Ahmed, who was the MP from Phulpur, his second son Umar Ahmed also surrendered in the CBI Court. The court has sent Umar Ahmed, a rewarder of two lakh rupees, to 14 days judicial custody.
On the initiative of Yogi Adityanath government, CBI continuously tightened the noose on the sons of Atiq Ahmed. After demolition of illegal constructions in Prayagraj and Kaushambi of Mafia Atiq Ahmed in Ahmedabad jail, the sons were clamped down. Ateeq’s younger son Mohammad Ali Ahmed surrendered in Prayagraj court, while elder son Mohammad Umar Ahmed surrendered in Lucknow’s CBI court.
Mohammad Umar Ahmed has been sent to judicial custody till August 27. The CBI has not yet sought remand. Chargesheet has been filed against Umar. A reward of two lakhs was announced on Umar. The investigation of the allegation of kidnapping builder Mohit Jaiswal in Krishnanagar, Lucknow, beating him in Deoria jail and demanding extortion has been handed over to the CBI. CBI was searching for the accused.
Mohit Jaiswal was kidnapped in the year 2018 by the henchmen of former MP Atiq Ahmed. The hijackers had taken the businessman from Gomtinagar to Atiq, lodged in Deoria jail, where he was beaten up and got the property papers signed and his car snatched. Mohit Jaiswal, a resident of Vishweshwar Nagar in Alambagh, works in real estate. Then his office is in Virat Khand of Gomtinagar. Mohit has alleged that former MP Atiq Ahmed, who is lodged in Deoria jail, had pressured him to extort money two years ago. Out of fear, the victim had given Rs. Later, two of Ateeq’s henchmen Farooq and Zaki Ahmed again sought extortion. On their refusal, two months back, both of them occupied Mohit’s office and got their names registered in his company.
Kidnapped with car
Mohit was kidnapped by Atiq’s henchmen along with the car. He was taken to the former MP in Deoria jail, where Atiq’s son Umar, his henchmen Zafarullah, Gulab Sarwar besides 10-12 unidentified people were present. The accused beat up Mohit. In this, the bones of the fingers of his right hand were broken.
