Aligarh. The occupation of government land is not taking the name of reduction. In Khair, the officers of the Irrigation Department got the Karban river captured. The colonizers colluded to make way for private use. When the investigation was done on the instructions of the joint secretary, the poll was exposed. On behalf of Sinchpal and Zilladar, a complaint has been given against three including EO, Municipality President in Khair police station.
Complaint to the government
Former MLA Pramod Gaur of Khair had complained to the government about stopping the water of Karban river in the town and making a pucca road and using it for private use. It was alleged that the officials of the Irrigation Department, in connivance with BJP leaders and builders, have captured the river. The Principal Secretary and Joint Secretary of the Irrigation Department ordered an inquiry. A team of departmental officers conducted on-site inspection.
It came to the fore that the Karban river passes through two parts on the Khair Gonda route. Water flows in both the parts and a bridge has been built on both the parts. A small part of the river has been blocked by erecting a concrete structure. It was found to be encroached upon. After the investigation report, Sinchpal Sheoraj Singh and District Magistrate Krishnan Gupta gave a complaint in the police station Khair. In this, the executive officer and chairman of the municipality, Khair Sanjeev Agarwal and colonizers Kailash Chandra Sharma have been accused of laying a wall on the Karban river and giving a bridge for the road.
Action will also be taken against the guilty officers and employees
High officials have also swung into action after complaints of illegal occupation from the government level. The Government has directed the Chief Engineer and Head of the Department of Irrigation and Water Resources to take action. It has been directed in the letter that action should be taken by fixing the responsibility of the guilty officers and employees in the case.
They say
In the past, the local people had given a complaint letter to MP Satish Gautam. In this, there was a demand to build a road on the land of the Revenue Department near the Karban river. The MP sent the letter to the municipality. The municipality got the road constructed under the PPP model with private builder Kailash Chandra Sharma. Some people are complaining politically. The complaint is wrong. The land is owned by the municipality area.
