Lucknow. Senior leader and former minister of Samajwadi Party, Mohd. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday also questioned Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam for a long time. After questioning for six hours on Wednesday, he was questioned for about six and a half hours on Thursday as well. The ED has sought several evidences from him regarding raising money and transacting money in the name of Jauhar University. Abdullah was again called for questioning by the ED on Monday.
In fact, the Enforcement Directorate has registered a case against Azam in August 2019 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the case of Jauhar University, Rampur. In the same case, the ED had issued notices to Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam and wife Tazin Fatma and called them for questioning at the zonal office in the capital before July 15.
After interrogation on Wednesday, ED officials also questioned Abdullah Azam from around 9.30 am to 4 pm on Thursday. During this, the officers raised many questions regarding fund raising and money transferred in the name of Jauhar University. The ED has directed Abdullah to return to the office on Monday.
Azam’s wife may appear today: Azam Khan’s wife Tajin Fatma may appear in ED office on Friday. The ED had directed Tajeen and Abdullah to come separately. Under this, ED has interrogated Abdullah for two days and now Tajeen will be questioned.
This is the whole matter: Let us tell you that the ED is investigating the disproportionate assets case of senior SP leader Azam Khan. In this episode, Azam Khan has been interrogated earlier in the jail in Sitapur. After this his son Abdullah and wife Tanzin have been summoned for questioning.
