Lucknow. Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia (PrSP) President and Samajwadi Party MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav on Thursday targeted SP President Akhilesh Yadav on the pretext of solidarity in the assembly. Without naming his nephew Akhilesh Yadav, he said that if the people sitting in the opposition had supported him, he would have been in power and those in the ruling party would have been sitting in the opposition.
Praspa President Shivpal Yadav praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that he is hardworking and also a saint. Want to take the state to the heights, but it will not be possible alone. For this they have to take the ruling party and the opposition together. Pointing to Akhilesh, Shivpal said that if the people here had taken me along, today they (SP) would have been seen sitting in the ruling party.
Shivpal Yadav said that there is strength in unity. Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party was formed two years ago. Preparations were on to field around 100 candidates in the assembly elections. If the SP had given tickets to some of them, today those sitting in the opposition would have been in power. When the SP members were shocked by Shivpal’s statement, the BJP members encouraged them by thumping the table.
Shivpal Singh Yadav said that you should give free ration, but do not give so much that the beneficiaries become lazy and leave the business. Help the elderly, but do not make the young lazy. Referring to the functioning of the officers, he said that the bureaucrats confuse the figures. Legislators have accountability to the people.
Shivpal questioned whether the public representatives get respect in the police station and tehsil. The condition of the officers is that they do not even pick up the phones of the MLAs. Shivpal also took a jibe at the BJP government’s slogan. He said that as promised, there is everyone’s cooperation and development for all, but the government did not take everyone’s cooperation.
