Except BJP, other parties are still looking for the reason for their defeat. In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, this time the Bahujan Samaj Party along with the Congress had contested alone on all 403. BSP got one and Congress got two seats. BJP alliance got 273 seats and Samajwadi Party alliance got 125 seats.
