Lucknow. Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, who attacked the police in Gorakhnath temple complex, has reached ATS Headquarters Lucknow on 12-day remand by ATS. Now further questioning of Murtaza will be done at the ATS headquarters itself.

The facts that have come to the fore so far are indicating that this incident may be part of a terrorist conspiracy. The attacker Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, who has done chemical engineering from IIT Bombay, may be linked to the terrorist organization IS.
According to sources, the UP ATS and STF engaged in the investigation have got some videos and literature related to IS and Syria from his laptop. Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi has also said that it cannot be ruled out as a terrorist incident. Every point is being checked.
Sources say that information about suspicious transactions done in Syria a few months ago from a bank account in Mumbai has also come to the fore. The team of ATS that went to Mumbai will also try to get to the bottom of it. Murtaza’s Nepal connections are also being investigated.
The Gorakhnath temple is the supreme seat of the Nath sect as well as the residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In such a situation, the seriousness of the incident has increased much more. Meanwhile, late in the evening, sources said that the ATS and STF engaged in the investigation have recovered some videos and literature related to terrorist organization IS from Murtaza’s laptop. Now the investigating agencies are gathering information whether it has only videos or really its strings are related to IS or any terrorist organization.
