New Delhi: IPL 2022 (IPL 2022) will start from 26 March. All the teams are very excited to play the first match of IPL 2022. But even before the start of IPL 2022, the threat of Kovid has started looming. In view of the situation of Corona, it is being speculated that IPL can also be played without spectators. On 26th, IPL’s start match will be played between CSK (CSK) and KKR (KKR). For the league phase, the entry of spectators is allowed in 25 percent of the capacity of the stadiums, but due to the increase in the case of Corona, this decision may also be withdrawn.
Even before the start of IPL 2022, the Central Government has warned the Maharashtra Government about getting new Kovid-19 (COVID-19) variants in the state. In such a situation, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that we have received a letter from the central government to be alert because the cases of Kovid-19 have increased again in European countries, South Korea and China. Under this, our Health Department had issued a letter to the IPL Governing Council asking them to be alert and take necessary steps. We do not want to comment on IPL matches right now.
For IPL 2022, the IPL Governing Council and the Government of Maharashtra had thought of allowing 25 percent spectators for the league. This is the reason that in view of the decline in the cases of Corona, tickets for the league also started getting. But if the situation continues like this, leagues may have to be organized without spectators.
