New Delhi. Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at the age of 39. Sreesanth announced his retirement on Wednesday by releasing a video on Twitter and thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the ICC and the Kerala Cricket Association. Sreesanth started playing for his state team Kerala in this Ranji season, but suddenly he decided to retire. He also said goodbye to the first-class cricket career, through which he was dreaming of playing for India again.
S Sreesanth played 27 Test matches, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 Internationals for India. He took 169 wickets for India in international cricket. Sreesanth was a member of the T20 World Cup winning Indian team in the year 2007, while he was also a part of the Indian cricket team in the 2011 ODI World Cup final, which was won by Team India under Dhoni’s captaincy. In the 2007 T20 World Cup final, he took one wicket for 44 runs in 4 overs, while in the 2011 ODI World Cup final he gave 52 runs in 8 overs, but he did not get any success.
