New Delhi: IPL 2022 will start from 26 March and will end on 29 May. This time a total of 10 teams are participating in this tournament and 70 league matches will be played. Now the BCCI has announced the full schedule of IPL 2022, according to which the first match of this season will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on 26 March at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This season, 70 league matches and four playoff matches will be played within 65 days.
The 10 teams participating in this season have been divided into two groups. In this, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have been placed in Group A, while Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans have been placed in Group B. . Each team has to play 14 matches in this season, in which five teams have to play two matches each and four teams have to play one match.
This time four stadiums have been selected for league matches in which three stadiums are in Mumbai while one stadium is in Pune. In this season, two matches are to be organized on several days. It will start on 27th March i.e. on this day the first double heel match of this season will be played. While the Maharashtra government has said that 25 percent of the spectators will be allowed to watch the match, the venue of the play-off matches has not been announced yet.
