On Saturday, the police made the biggest seizure so far. In Swaroop Nagar area, police and static team got about 1.5 crore rupees from a young man and Kakadev police got about six and a half crore rupees from the youth. The police have started interrogation after informing the Income Tax officials. The young man is being told as the manager of a company and so far he has not been able to provide the correct documents regarding cash.
The police in Kanpur is very active regarding the UP assembly elections and is searching people day and night by running a checking campaign at the intersections. In this episode, till now many people carrying cash from small vehicles have also been caught. On Saturday, the police and the static team made the biggest seizure so far. In the morning, the police and the static team were checking near the roundabout of Swaroop Nagar police station area. During checking, the Swaroop Nagar police stopped the car at the roundabout, in which four people were traveling. When the police searched the car, cash was found in it. The police reached the police station with cash along with the car riders and got the notes counted, in which one crore 54 lakh rupees were recovered. The car riders told that the entire cash belongs to the company depositing the money in the ATM and that employee. Were going to take cash and put it in the ATM. ACP Swaroop Nagar Bridge Narayan Singh said that the car rider could not give information about the company and the documents related to bringing the cash. At present, the money has been seized and information has been given to the Income Tax Department.
The Kakadev police have also made the biggest recovery so far, the police team has got about six and a half crore rupees from a young man. Police have recovered Rs 5 crore 74 lakh from a car during checking. DCP West BB GTS Murthy said that in the initial investigation, the car riders have given information about having cash of the multinational software company, he is telling that the company does recovery work for many private and government companies. This entire cash belongs to the Electricity Department, which was being taken to be deposited in the bank. When the police informed the Income Tax Department, the Income Tax officials reached the police station. Cash related documents have been sought from the company.
Police has already recovered more than two crore rupees after the notification of the election was issued.
