Lucknow. UP STF has arrested an accused of extorting huge amount from the officers by pretending to be the OSD of the Chief Minister. The accused has already gone to jail on the charges of forgery. A total of 10 cases are registered against Ajay Kumar Mishra, resident of Shiv Mandir Musabani, East Singhbhumi in Jharkhand.
According to the STF, Ajay also has a residence in Raidepur Amethi. During interrogation, the accused told that he used to call the officers. The officers used to tell themselves the OSD of the Chief Minister. After this, giving different reasons, he used to ask for money in the account. The accused used to threaten the procrastinating officers to take action on the phone itself. The accused told that he had got his name changed from Ajay to Arvind by getting fake documents made. In the year 2015, Ajay was arrested by the police and sent to jail on charges of calling as OSD. The account was opened by the accused in the changed name, in which he used to call for Rs. He used to mix the numbers of officers from the information diary and used to bully them. The accused has so far confessed to recovering lakhs of rupees. In the year 2021 also, the accused was sent to jail by the police of Kaushambi and Auraiya police stations.
After being released from Jul in June 2021, the accused again started forgery. Apart from Lucknow, cases are also registered against the accused in Bahraich, Auraiya, Kaushambi, Hardoi, Deoria, Balrampur, Jalaun and Pilibhit. Fearlessly, the accused used to make phone calls to various officers and used to get money from them in his account. Many officers used to hesitantly send the amount to the account considering him as the OSD of CM.
