Yogi Adityanath Sarkar of Uttar Pradesh, who has been trying to get the vehicles of Rehri and Patri shopkeepers, who have been severely affected by the corona virus infection for nearly two years, on track, is now giving them a big platform. Under Vocal for Local, the government is organizing an eight-day state level Diwali fair in the district of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch it in Lucknow.
Deepawali Mela in Uttar Pradesh will start from today i.e. from 28th October and will continue till the eve of Diwali i.e. 4th November. In Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath Sanya will launch the fair at Jhulelal Park at around 7 pm. By organizing Diwali fair in every district of the state, the state government has planned to provide employment to all Rehri and Patri shopkeepers. The Bharatiya Janata Party government is trying to set an example to the public by characterizing its Vocal for Local campaign. The BJP also wants to bring to the fore the decisions of Narendra Modi of the Center and Yogi Adityanath government of the state, which have benefited the Rehri Patri shopkeepers.
In Uttar Pradesh, 217 Deepawali fairs have been organized in 17 Municipal Corporations and 200 Palika Parishads. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Diwali fair in Lucknow, while MPs and ministers in charge of the district will also attend the Diwali fair at other places. In these fairs, space has been provided to all the Rehri track sellers who want to sell their goods till November 4. There will also be cultural events at the fair site to enhance the attraction of these fairs. This is being done so that a good number of people can gather at the fair. Not only the Urban Development Department of the government but also the BJP has made vigorous preparations for this. In the same year, the party has set up its own Rehri Patri business cell. Its workers will also be present at the fairs. Activists will explain the benefits of PM Swanidhi Yojana to the vendors there.
Ajit Pratap Singh, convener of BJP Uttar Pradesh Rehri Patri Business Cell, said that Prime Minister Modi has done all the work that has been done for this section in the country so far. Their plans have improved the living standards of this class. The BJP’s objective is to protect the interests of street vendors. The number of track traders in the urban areas of Uttar Pradesh is around 50 lakh.
