Lucknow. After Uttar Pradesh Gram Rozgar Sevaks, Yogi Adityanath government is now preparing to give gifts to more than 58 thousand village heads. In addition to increasing the honorarium and financial rights of the village head, an agreement has been reached between the Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development and the village heads on six issues including the creation of Panchayat Representative Welfare Fund. In the state level convention, the state government can make a big announcement in this regard next month.
The work of ‘Local Government’ is being started in the Gram Panchayats. The heads have been trained in two phases. The government is resolving the pending problems and demands of the village heads for years. Meetings have been held between National Panchayati Raj Village Head Organization and Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Manoj Kumar Singh twice in the month of August 28 and September. An important meeting of the third phase was held on Monday, in which eight points were discussed. The organization claims that an agreement has been reached on six points.
National spokesperson of the organization Lalit Sharma said that it has been agreed to constitute Panchayat Representative Welfare Fund in the villages. In this, if the village head or member etc. dies in any accident, then their dependents will be helped from the fund. At the same time, the chiefs suggested that the government can make this fund by cutting the funds of state finances, but the Additional Chief Secretary said that the government would make a separate budget provision for this.
In the panchayats, the village head has the right to give approval of two lakh rupees so far, there is a preparation to increase it by two lakh rupees. Similarly, the administrative powers of the princes will also increase. He said that the headmen can get representation as members in the district plan. The village heads are getting an honorarium of Rs 3500 per month so far, preparations are on to increase it, the heads say that the employment servant gets 10 thousand rupees per month, it should be increased in view of that.
One can get the freedom to take the services of an independent technical expert to get the development work done in the villages. Till now, the block level technical officer looks after the work of all the villages. It has also been agreed to give the material supply to the Gram Panchayat under MNREGA and to give the right to pay MNREGA to the heads. In the meeting, the delegation led by State Vice President Dr. Akhilesh Singh included Shailendra Singh, District President of Lucknow, Sanjay Sharma of Bulandshahr, Atul Chauhan of Hardoi, Balraj Yadav of Barabanki, Dilip Tripathi of Siddharth Nagar and Divisional Vice President Lucknow Surya Singh etc.
