On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a plan to waive the fees of one of the two sisters studying in a private school. Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday made online transfer of scholarship worth Rs 177.35 crore to 1,51,215 meritorious students of the state at Lok Bhavan.
CM Yogi Adityanath, who was present in the Lok Bhavan with the Governor, said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is supporting the meritorious students at every level. In government schools, they are being taught almost free of cost. Now we are taking another step forward. He said that we have prepared a big plan on girl child education. He said that if two sisters from the same house study in a private school, then parents should appeal to waive the fees of one in the school. Even on his appeal, if private schools do not do so, then the education department will make arrangements to pay the fees. He said that many people are unable to pay fees during the Corona period, this will help them. Along with the Center, the Uttar Pradesh government will also not allow anyone to be deprived of any kind of facility.
CM Yogi Adityanath clearly said that if two girls of any family are studying in the same private school, then waive the fees of one private school. Be it from the school level or from the government level, tuition fees should be provided to the schools. So that parents can get relief. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that if two or more daughters of the same family are studying in private schools, only one of them will be waived the fee. For this, the government will first motivate the private schools, if they do not waive the fees, then the government will provide this fee. He said that to promote girl child education, education up to graduation is already being provided free of cost in government schools.
In a program organized on the occasion of providing scholarship to 151215 meritorious students of the state, the Chief Minister said that scholarship should be given to all by November 30 this year. He said that the department should do the work of distribution of scholarship in mission mode. On this occasion, Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath transferred the scholarship amount to the account by pressing the button. He also gave certificate of scholarship to ten students. In the program, the Governor said that today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Shastri ji. Gandhiji showed a new path of non-violence, walked on it and got the country freedom from the British rule. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is introducing nutritious food instead of mid-day meal in schools. The government is now taking care of the health of the children.
