Bio Bubble: After playing just two matches in the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, explosive batsman Chris Gayle decided to leave the tournament. On Thursday, leaving the IPL team bubble, informed the team management about returning to their country. Gayle, who is constantly traveling from bubble to bubble, has taken such a decision to keep himself fresh for the T20 World Cup.
On Thursday, Punjab Kings informed that the experienced batsman of the team, Gayle will no longer be available for further matches. Due to the fatigue of Bio Bubble, he has decided to leave the tournament midway and return home. Gayle is going to play for the West Indies team in the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in UAE and Oman next month.
Gayle was feeling tired due to constant traveling from one bubble to another and because of this he decided to take rest with family for a few days at home. He entered the IPL bubble from the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League bubble. Under the Corona Protocol, all the players of the team have to follow strict rules.
Gayle’s statement released by Punjab Kings said, “For the last few months I have been a part of the bio bubble. First CWI, then CPL and then I have now entered the IPL bubble. I mentally refresh myself with some energy. I want to focus on helping West Indies team in T20 World Cup and that’s why I am taking a short break from Dubai. I would like to thank Punjab Kings very much for helping me to take this break. Granted. My prayers and hopes will always remain the same with the team. Wishing you all the very best for the tournament ahead.”
