The road will pass through Ballabhgarh
The Delhi Mumbai Expressway is passing through Ballabhgarh in Haryana, closest to the border of Gautam Budh Nagar. There is a plan to provide connectivity to the expressway by constructing a road from Ballabhgarh to Noida Airport. This road will be about 31 km. Its 24 km part will be in the border of Haryana while 7 km will be in Uttar Pradesh.
The screw was stuck on land acquisition
There was a tussle between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh regarding the expenditure on land acquisition. Haryana had proposed to bear the cost of land acquisition equally for both the states. Recently, the state government had given its consent to this. NHAI will do the work of purchase of land for the road in the border of Haryana, while the purchase of land in the border of the state will be done by the Uttar Pradesh government. NHAI will build the road.
Road construction will start till operation
The road construction work will be completed by the time passenger services start operating from Noida Airport. IGI Airport Delhi and Noida Airport will also be connected through this road. NHAI is building a road to connect IGI Airport with Delhi Mumbai Expressway. This distance between the two airports will be 123 km.
Both airports will get connectivity
An in-principle agreement has been reached for connectivity of Noida Airport to Delhi Mumbai Expressway. Noida Airport will also get connectivity from IGI Airport Delhi through this. Passengers will be able to travel easily between both the airports.
