Maharajganj: There was a sensation in the police department as soon as the case of rape of a woman inspector posted in a police station in Maharajganj district came to the fore. On the complaint of the female inspector, the Kotwali police has started the investigation of the case by registering a case against the accused resident of Kanpur under various sections including rape.
Originally a resident of Kanpur and posted in Maharajganj district, the woman inspector has said in the Tahrir given to the Kotwali police that the accused Pradyuman Yadav is a resident of Kanpur Nagar. He withdrew ten lakh rupees from his bank account several times. Forgery also took the PIN number from the mobile. After coming to know about the matter, he contacted the accused, then he came to Maharajganj on 21 June. On being questioned about money, he molested and tried to have a physical relationship. On making noise, he tried to kill himself by tightening his throat. Neighbors gathered on hearing the noise, after which he threatened to kill him.
Inspector Manish Singh, in-charge of Kotwali, said that on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against Pradyuman Yadav, accused in several sections including sections 417, 420, 354 (a), 376, 511, 307 IPC. The case is being investigated.
