Kanpur. Two women from Kanpur and one from Unnao stranded in Oman reached Lucknow airport from Muscat on Sunday morning. Earlier everyone was supposed to come late Saturday night, but due to the late flight, all three reached Lucknow airport on Sunday morning. Seeing the family members, the three women started crying bitterly. He said that he is nothing less than a hell. Nothing was found except torture in eight months.
A victim who returned is a resident of Phool Wali Gali in Kanpur. She said that her husband had left. Responsible for three children. At that time I met Muzzamil and he had promised to get a good job in Oman. He had said that a job of 50-60 thousand would be available like this. At his behest, the victim agreed and went to Oman.
Stuck in visa game
The victim said that she was sent on a tourist visa instead of working. On reaching there, the tourist visa expired, when he came to know the difference between the two. But by then she was caught in the trap. The agency operator got her working visa made and put Sheikh on the job.
Life was like hell
The victim told that there was hell. Work was made for 20-20 hours. Food was given twice in three days. The food was also stale. Not only this, Sheikh’s servants were always ready to do wrong things and also tried two or three times. If someone fell ill, medicine was also given when he was in a state of death.
Husband was no more, had to give good life to children
When the second victim resident of Kanshi Ram Colony also landed at the airport, hugging her sons and crying a lot. She told that after the death of her husband, she had the responsibility of three sons. The situation was such that the children could not be educated and written. That’s when I met Muzzamil and fell into the trap of getting a good job in Oman. The victim told that she went to Oman to earn money and get her son to do business. He was also implicated in the visa game and then he was put in the work of cleaning, wiping the broom. When there was hope of coming back, Sheikh’s servants asked for four lakh rupees, then contacted the son and lodged a complaint with the crime branch.
Suicide was the only option left. The third Unnao resident had gone to Oman in December 2020 in the pursuit of good work. He told that in the tortures found there, suicide was the last option. It seemed that now he would not be able to reach home alive. After getting the information about the crime branch, he called the theft and gave all the information to the officer. With their efforts now we are somehow able to come back.
More than 20 women of Kanpur-Unnao are now trapped in Oman
Women returning to India from Oman told that not only three but more than 20 women of Kanpur Unnao are trapped there. Apart from this, hundreds of women from many states including UP, Goa, are being held hostage there in the same way. The family members of the three had contacted Crimebranch. The police managed to get the women released from Oman with a lot of effort by contacting the Indian embassy. DCP Crime Salman Taj Patil told that trying to trace more women trapped there. So far, six women have been freed.

So far, the Crime Branch has brought back three women from Kanpur and two from Unnao. The links of all these are being found with Muzzamil and Atikur Rahman, who were sent to jail. All the victims had gone to Oman only after coming in contact with them. After interrogating the accused, the crime branch has also sent the gang leader Mohammad Amin, who operated from Bangalore, to jail.
