Lucknow. The vicious man, who threatened the police with bombing the Aliganj Hanuman temple and other religious places of the capital, including Mankameshwar, was arrested on Thursday. The accused is Shakeel, a resident of Delhi Seelampur. He is associated with the conversion gang and is Deoband. Along with the police, teams of ATS and intelligence department are also interrogating Shakeel. Police are also looking for other people associated with the gang. ADCP North Prachi Singh confirmed the arrest. Police is also probing whether Shakeel is not associated with any terrorist gang or module. His call details etc. are also being checked.
Photocopy of the threatening letter recovered: The police has also recovered a photocopy of the letter threatening to blow up the temple with a bomb from the accused Shakeel. In which all the same facts were there in the letter received to the temple. Police have also recovered the receipt of the registry and other things. Shakeel had posted this letter from the post office in Triveninagar to the address of Aliganj Naya Hanuman Mandir. The networks of the accused are also being investigated in Lucknow. Many important things can come to the fore in the inquiry.
The letter was sent to spread panic, people do mindwash: ADCP North Prachi told that Shakeel did it to spread panic. So far this is what has come to light during the interrogation. But he used to mindwash the simple people by trapping them in his net. He used to suggest connecting with his religion. He has hatred for other religions. He is associated with the conversion gang. Other information is being gathered about Shakeel and his gang. Apart from Lucknow, the capital of the state, the ATS team is also raiding in other districts.
