Lucknow. Chief Minister works on zero tolerance policy. By implementing the police commissionerate system, he gave the message of speedy justice to the people and strict action against the criminals. However, the policy of Lucknow Police seems to be contrary to the intentions of the CM. After registering a case against the young woman Priyadarshini Narayan who beat up cab driver Saadat Ali at Barabirwa intersection, the police has not taken any action. The special thing is that the Inspector Krishnanagar Mahesh Dubey, who misled the high officials and the two policemen who misbehaved with the cab driver and took bribe, are still in the chair even after four days of the incident. In the name of action, the investigation has been transferred from Krishnanagar Kotwali and handed over to Banthra Inspector.
On the other hand, lakhs of people are posting on the internet media in support of the cab driver. Justice for Cab Driver’s hashtag is trending. Despite all this, the lack of action against the accused policeman and the girl raises questions.
The girl said, I was assaulted: Priyadarshini gave a statement on Tuesday that she did not do anything wrong. The cab driver was about to hit him. He was looking at the mobile phone. When he broke the rules, he beat him. The girl alleges that she was assaulted. The mob dragged him for a long distance, causing injuries to his arms, legs and face.
Victim said, it is a fight for self-respect: Cab driver Saadat said that the girl unnecessarily beat him up. Its video is going viral across the country. For me this fight is now about self esteem. I will keep fighting for justice. Saadat alleges that the inspector abused her and her brothers on Saturday morning. Not only this, Inspector Mannan also committed indecency with Saadat’s brothers late on Friday night and put them in the lockup. After all, outpost in-charge Harendra Singh completed it by taking bribe.
Negligence exposed in internal report: Sources say that the negligence of the policemen posted in Krishnanagar Kotwali has been exposed. The victim driver identified the policemen and informed the higher authorities. It is being told that the high officials are aware of the actions of the policemen, but are shying away from taking action.
After internal investigation of the whole matter, the report has been submitted to the higher authorities. Action will be taken against the policemen who are negligent on the basis of merit. -Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, ADCP Central
