Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government does not want to leave any stone unturned to counter the second wave of Corona. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to step into this war with full vigilance and solid strategy at every level. He said that the impact of the disease named ‘Black Fungus’ is also being seen in the ongoing fight against the Corona epidemic. He has asked the Additional Chief Secretary Health and Principal Secretary Medical Education, consultative committee of health experts constituted at the state level to discuss this and give a detailed report to the Chief Minister’s Office about disease prevention, treatment and preparedness.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave various guidelines to Team-9 in a review meeting of Kovid Management at his government residence in Lucknow. He said that in the fight against Corona epidemic, all necessary efforts are being made to ensure the safety of life and livelihood of all the people in accordance with the policy of trace, test and treatment. The infection rate is steadily decreasing, while the recovery rate is getting better every day. In the last 24 hours, 18,125 new Kovid cases have been confirmed in the state, while 26,712 people have been healthy and discharged during the same period. At present, there are 2,06,615 active cases in the state, which is about 1 lakh 4 thousand less than the peak of infection of 3.10 lakh in the state. This decrease in infection occurred in 11 days from 30 April to 11 May is satisfactory. So far, 13 lakh 40 thousand 251 people have gained health by defeating Kovid.
Increase the number of community kitchens: CM Yogi Adityanath said that efforts should be made to increase the number of beds for Kovid patients. In the last 24 hours, there have been an increase of 115 beds in various hospitals of the Department of Medical Education, 250 of ICU in DRDO Hospital in Varanasi and 100 beds of ICU in HAL Hospital in Haj House, Lucknow. He said that keeping in view the partial corona curfew, proper arrangements should be made for the maintenance of street hawkers, tracks, handlers, construction workers, pulldars etc. Community kitchens have started in most districts. Their number needs to be increased further.
The process of setting up an oxygen plant should be speeded up: CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to speed up the installation process of the oxygen plant. New oxygen plants in Saharanpur will be commissioned in the next two days. The process of setting up the plant in 75 districts is being expedited by the sugar department. For the treatment of Kovid, cooperation can be made with MP / MLA fund in connection with air separator unit, setting up of oxygen plant, etc. He informed that 1014.53 metric tonnes of oxygen has been distributed in the last 24 hours. In this, 619 MT of oxygen was made available to refillers and 313 MT of oxygen to medical colleges. Oxygen audits are being conducted to balance the demand and supply of oxygen and there have been good results. Approval has been given to set up oxygen plants in all the districts of the state through ‘PM Cares’, driven by the Prime Minister.
Uttar Pradesh in first place in Kovid vaccination: CM Yogi Adityanath said that the process of Kovid vaccination is going smoothly in the state. Uttar Pradesh ranks first in providing Kovid protection cover to people above 45 years and in the age group of 18-44. So far 1,11,63,988 people have received the first dose and 29,35,607 people have received both vaccine doses. In this way 01 crore 40 lakh 99 thousand 95 Kovid vaccine administrators have been made. In 18 districts of the state, 2,16,897 people in the age group of 18-44 have received the vaccine cover, out of which 49,744 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
Funeral to be done according to religious beliefs: CM Yogi Adityanath said that every death due to Kovid is sad. State Government’s condolences to the families of the deceased. The funeral procession should be respected according to the religious beliefs of the deceased. Necessary financial assistance is also being provided by the State Government for the smooth execution of the funeral procession. The process of water flow for the funeral of any deceased is not environmentally friendly. There should be a dialogue with the religious leaders in this regard, there is a need to make people aware.

- There have been incidents of death due to consumption of illicit liquor in some districts. Strict action should be taken to end the sale of illegal liquor. Enforcement proceedings should be in mission mode.
- According to the mantra of ‘cleanliness, medicine, hardness’, a campaign of state-wide sanitation and sanitation is going on. It should be made more effective. People need to be aware of cleanliness. Corona curfew should be implemented effectively.
- Adequate arrangements for sawdust and fodder should be maintained in destitute cow shelters. There is a need to work towards developing cow shelters with more than 500 cow dynasties as new centers of energy including cow dung gas production. A model has been erected in Varanasi, efforts are also being made in Gorakhpur.
- Uttar Pradesh has been adopting aggressive policy towards Kovid Testing since its inception. Uttar Pradesh is the most tested state in the country. 4 crore 51 lakh tests have been done so far. The process of increasing the testing capacity of laboratories should be expedited.
- Special arrangements should be made to ensure that no citizen of the state is deprived of Kovid vaccine cover. To ensure vaccination of illiterate, disabled, destitute or other needy people, it will be convenient to provide vaccination registration at the Common Service Center.
- There are currently 1,52,725 people undergoing home isolation. For their speedy recovery, the system of medical counseling should be further improved through teleconsultation. There is a need to increase the number of doctors, the number of phone lines.
