The Shiromani Akali Dal has started the process of strengthening the party at the district level. Under this link, an important meeting of SAD was held on Sunday at the Nankana Sahib Trust Complex of GNE College. It was presided over by the party’s District Observer and former Minister Daljit Singh Cheema. In the meeting, the position of the party, forward strategy and policies of the party in the six assembly seats of Ludhiana city were churned to bring the people to the grassroots and the grassroots. Cheema said that the organizational structure in the party will be strengthened in a week.
Appointments of ward level officers of the party are also being made shortly. For a long time there was an alliance between the Akali Dal and the BJP, all the parties used to fight together. In the six assembly seats of Ludhiana city, BJP contested three and SAD on three, but now the alliance between the two parties has been broken. As a result, both the parties will field their candidates in all six seats. In this meeting, Cheema discussed with the district officials. Cheema took feedback from officials and workers. In the meeting, Cheema obtained ground level information by talking directly to the officials and workers of all the six seats of Ludhiana East, West, North, South, Central and Atmnagar. Cheema said that the process of strengthening the party’s organizational structure would be completed in a week. Every class will get proper place in it. Hard workers and workers working for the party will be given full respect. Cheema inspired party workers to spread the policies of SAD to the masses. He said that people are upset with the policies of the current government. There is a sense of despair among the people.
Punjab’s Congress government joins with Center: Cheema
On the direct payment to the farmers, Cheema said that the Congress government of Punjab has met with the Center. Dramas oppose the policies of the Center from outside, while inside agrees with them. Direct payment to farmers will be a problem and procurement will also be affected. Many farmers are working on contracts. Many of the land got divided in the family, but it did not come up in the name. Such difficulties will increase the complexities of the farmers. The meeting was attended by District President Ranjit Singh Dhillon, District President Gurdeep Singh Gosha of Youth, former ministers Mahesh Indra Singh Garewal, Indramohan Bajaj, Vijay Danav and many other leaders were present.
