New Delhi. Pakistan have lost in the second match of the three-match ODI series being played against South Africa. The hosts won the match by 17 runs to take 1-1 in the series. Batting first, South Africa scored a score of 341 for 6 wickets thanks to captain Tenba Bavuma’s 92 and Quinton de Kock’s 80 runs. In response, Pakistan’s team was able to score 324 runs for 9 wickets. Fakhar Zaman, who scored 193 runs, was adjudged Man of the Match.
The Pakistan cricket team decided to bowl after winning the toss against South Africa in the second match. De Cock and Dean Elgar played a 55-run partnership for the host team. After this, Captain Bavuma handled the innings and brought the score to 169 runs. De Kock was dismissed for 80 runs while Bavuma missed out on a century by 8 runs. Van de Dusen and David Miller scored half-centuries in a blistering innings. The team scored a score of 341 runs for 6 wickets.
Pakistan had a very poor start and the first wicket had fallen to 7 runs. After this, skipper Babar Azam was out on the score of 70 runs, immediately after that Mohammad Rizwan’s wicket fell. After this, the wickets of the team kept falling at frequent intervals and at the other end Fakhar Jaman faced the South African bowlers. This Pakistani batsman alone scored 193 runs but could not win the team.
Fakhar Zaman played innings of 193 runs
Zaman kept Pakistan in the match by playing 193 runs off 155 balls in the second ODI against South Africa. During this innings, he hit 18 fours while scoring 10 sixes. Unfortunately he could not complete his second double century and was dismissed in the last over to steal the run. This was the second biggest innings of Fakhar’s ODI career. Earlier, he had an unbeaten 210-run knock against Zimbabwe in 2018.
