For this, the team of police and jail administration will leave for Banda from Punjab on Monday. Inspector General of Police, Chitrakootham Zone K.K. Satyanarayana has confirmed this.
At present, things have become common everywhere regarding Mukhtar Ansari, a mafia coming from Punjab. Jail sources say that he will be denied special facilities, not being a political prisoner. The mafia, which was once in jail amidst such arrangements like AC and private generators, will be under strict surveillance this time. Mukhtar, who is sitting on a chair during his visit to the court about his appearance, will also be seen to be helpless inside the jail. His influence and money will prove unsuccessful in running his ‘Mukhtari’.
Sources reveal that he can be shifted to jail any time on April 8 or earlier. For this, the Punjab government has also sent a letter to the UP government. According to sources, during his stay in Banda jail for nearly two years, the mafia also got many facilities in the number 15 barracks. This time there is no such arrangement in the special cell prepared for him. He will remain like a common prisoner. In view of his illness, health services are definitely being arranged. DIG (Jail) PK Pandey on Wednesday took stock of the security arrangements of the jail. On Sunday, Chitrakootdham enclave I.G. Satyanarayana has held meetings with the jail and local administrative and police officers.
