Nainital: Astro Physical Jets are a complex of astronomy, while galactic nuclei, gamma ray brushes, blazers and micro quasars are space-bound puzzles in infinity. They have not been properly understood in the history of four hundred years of modern astronomy. To expose these mysteries, Aryabhatta Observational Science Research Institute (ERIES) is going to organize webinars from April 5 to 9 with scientists from all the observatories of the country.
According to Dr. Shashibhushan Pandey, senior scientist at Arise, the organizer of the workshop, the astrophysicist fountain, the astro-physical jet universe, is an unsolved scientist. The jet universe has immense power. Which is seen between the active galaxy and the two wires. The length of jets can be up to millions of light years. Not only this, its speed sometimes reaches close to the speed of light. Surprisingly, their magnetic field throws it in two opposite directions. Jet manufacturing and its source is still a mystery. Apart from these, the specifics of the gamma ray explosion in huge stars have not yet been understood. In the same way, the cause and source of the activities of active galaxy are also to be known.
Similarly, astronomers of the country will be part of a five-day online workshop to solve blazers and micro quasars. The workshop will begin on April 5 and will conclude on April 9. Many scientists of the country are currently researching to uncover all these mysteries. By having everyone together in this workshop, it will be easier to solve other kernels of space including jets.
These institutes will participate in the workshop
The five-day workshop is named ‘Astro Physical Jets and Observation Facilities National Perspective’. It will include more than two hundred scientists from the observatories like ISRO and IIA in Bengaluru, IUCA and NCRA Pune, BARC and SNIG Kolkata, TIFR, BARC Mumbai and PRL Ahmedabad.
