Lucknow. Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Rajendra Tiwari said that the projects running in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi of more than Rs 10 crore have been directed to be completed within the stipulated timeline. The Chief Secretary said that for such complete projects, which require manpower, equipment, furniture, etc. for the operation, necessary action should be taken immediately so that the public does not have to wait any longer to get their benefits. For projects that require additional funding to complete, and have previously sent a certificate of free release of funds, funds should be provided immediately for those projects.
The Chief Secretary directed the Commissioner of Varanasi to make a timetable for the physical and financial progress of the projects under construction. Accordingly, progress should be regularly reviewed. While reviewing the progress of the under construction projects of the Jal Nigam, the Chief Secretary said that it should be ensured that adequate manpower is always available to the Jal Nigam’s staff and contractor. The Secretary, Urban Development should review it weekly so that the projects under construction of the Jalanigam are completed within the stipulated time.
In reviewing the progress of construction of Srikashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Chief Secretary directed to complete all the works by October, 2021. In this regard, the Additional Chief Secretary (Charitable work) said that the progress of work is 46 percent and all works are going on fast.
