Patna. Bihar’s main opposition party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), on Tuesday created a ruckus in the capital Patna for the Bihar assembly siege program. Meanwhile, there was heavy stone pelting and the police also had to use force. Water cannons were also released to disperse the protesters. The state’s main opposition party, RJD, on Tuesday announced a siege to the assembly on various issues, including rising unemployment, corruption, rising inflation in Bihar, which the administration did not allow. Despite this, a large number of RJD workers gathered near Gandhi Maidan and started marching towards the assembly.
RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap also reached here, then RJD leaders got excited.
The police tried to stop these protesters by barricading them, but they continued to create ruckus. Water splashes were carried out by the police to stop the people. After this RJD supporters became furious.
The protesters then broke through the barricading and proceeded. During this, there was a stone pelting between the police and supporters at Dak Bungalow. After this, the police used light force.
Initially, a police official said that attempts were made to convince RJD supporters, but they did not agree and started throwing stones at the police. Police and journalists have been injured in this stone pelting.
RJD leaders say that many workers were injured in lathicharge carried out by the police.
Most of the shops around Dak Bungalow intersection, Gandhi Maidan, were closed due to the RJD demonstration. The protesters also broke glass panes of several vehicles.
