New Delhi. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) will merge with Bharat Gas. The Board of Directors of BPCL approved the merger of the company’s Sub-subsidiary Bharat Gas Resources Limited (BGRL) with BPCL. “The board of directors of the company approved the merger scheme of Bharat Gas Resources Limited with the company (BPCL) in a meeting held on 22 March 2021,” BPCL said in a communication sent to the stock market.
With this merger with the company, BPCL will improve its company structure and integrate BGRL’s assets and liabilities into BPCL. This will improve management oversight and reduce operational efficiencies, cost savings and administrative responsibilities.
It is known that BGRL is a 100 percent sub-subsidiary of public sector undertaking BPCL. Its main business is the acquisition and retail sale of gas.
