Kashipur: Two drug paddlers have been arrested by the Kashipur ITI police station with 115.52 grams of smack. The police have filed a case against the accused and sent them to jail. During a press conference in his office on Thursday morning, Assistant Superintendent of Police and CO Kashipur, Akshay Prahlad Konde, told that a campaign is being carried out under the direction of SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar and Superintendent of Police Kashipur Pramod Kumar to control drugs. Under this, the police station ITI Vidyadatta Joshi, Paiga Outpost Incharge Amit Sharma were checking on the Paiga NEFA border Thakurdwara Tirahe on Aliganj Road on Wednesday evening.
During checking, two people appeared on a motorcycle Apache from Aliganj. Seeing the police, the driver tried to turn the car backward. In this attempt, the motorcycle fell down and the police caught them both. On inquiry, the person driving the motorcycle named his name Taslim son Mohiddin and the other named his name Farman son Kamal resident Bareilly town Fatehganj Western. During the search, 12.76 grams of smack was recovered from Taslim’s pocket and 102.76 grams from Farman’s pocket. A total of 115.52 grams of smack were recovered from both the accused.
During interrogation, Taslim said that he smacks from Fatehganj in Bareilly and supplies it in Kashipur, Thakurdwara and Aliganj. He has established his wholesale clientele here. According to the ITI police, the charged smacks cost up to Rs 1500 per gram. The smack caught is worth millions in the international market. The team to disclose included Police Station Vidyadatta Joshi, Paiga Outpost Incharge Amit Sharma, Head Constable Santosh Prasad, Constable Kailash Parihar, Mahendra Singh, Kamal Pal, Kailash Kala, Devendra Mehra, Sandeep Negi etc.
