Lucknow . In Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided that its officials will not contest the upcoming panchayat elections. The state executive committee, decided on Monday, has decided that if any official is willing to contest the panchayat elections, he will have to step down from his post.
According to the party spokesperson, it has also been decided that the party will launch a program from 19 to 26 March, during which they will take the achievements of the Yogi government to the people.
Yogi Adityanath’s government will complete four years on March 19.
Uttar Pradesh BJP president Swatantra Dev Singh said that the Yogi government has done exemplary work in the last four years – whether it is about giving a change to Kashi and Ayodhya or dealing with the epidemic situation.
He said that the BJP government effectively investigated corruption and ensured inclusive development in rural interiors.
He called on the party workers to work afresh and ensure the party’s success in next year’s panchayat elections and then next year’s assembly elections.
