Vikasnagar: An elderly man was killed and two youths were seriously injured in a collision with two bikes on Bhojwala Tirahe of Kotwali area on Friday evening. Police have got the body of an elderly man kept in Morchari. The injured were referred to the Higher Center from Lehman Hospital. The relatives have admitted the injured to a private hospital in Dehradun.
The accident took place near Bhojawala Tirahe at around 6.45 pm on Friday evening. In this, Mohammad Nazir (65), son of Qutubuddin resident Bulakiwala, and Anant (24) son Manoj resident Kalsi and Aryan Sharma (19) son Veer Singh Sharma resident Chakbhud Kalsi were seriously injured. A crowd of villagers gathered on the spot. On information, Kotwali Vikasnagar police reached the spot and sent the injured to Lehman Hospital for treatment with the help of local villagers. While doctors declared the elderly Mohammad Nazir dead during treatment, the injured Anant and Aryan were referred to the Higher Center in case the condition did not improve even after first aid. The police have taken both the vehicles. According to SSI Kulwant Singh, the accident is being investigated.
Seven lakh rupees recovered
Jhabrera: Under Engineer Sandeep Kumar posted at Jhabrera power station in Haridwar, said that on Friday, outstanding backdoor camps were organized by the corporation in Khadkhari Dayala, Jhabredi and Khanampur Kushali villages. On this occasion, arrears of seven lakh rupees were recovered. Apart from this, electrical connections of 22 persons were disconnected.
