Along with Atul Gupta, the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, former Director General of Police Sulkhan Singh has shared the benefits of the agricultural law with farmers and has also appealed to them to end the peasant movement.
The government has held senior positions with the officials, that the farmers should not get confused about agriculture law. The new agricultural law will bring major benefits to the farmers. The government is increasing the income of farmers by linking mandis with e names. Along with this, these officers have said that the farmers as well as the common people are facing problems due to this movement of farmers. Former officials have appealed to the farmers to end the agitation.
Farmers should not be misled by anyone: Former bureaucrats of the state, counting the benefits of agricultural reform laws, have appealed to the farmers to immediately end this agitation. Former Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Atul Gupta said that farmers should not be misled by anyone. They should know for themselves the benefits of agricultural laws. Atul Gupta said that the state government along with the Center has done the job of increasing the income of the farmers. The government has made several important provisions in the budget for strengthening agriculture as well as increasing the income of farmers.
He said that mandis are not being abolished, but for the convenience of farmers, mandis are being linked with e-nam, which will guarantee a price of one and a half times of their produce. The agricultural law provides that the farmer who is in agreement with the farmer cannot terminate the agreement, while the farmer can end the agreement. The farmer will also have to pay a bonus to the farmer if the agreement is more profitable than the produce.
Contract farming is not a new thing: Former IAS officer Sudesh Ojha and other officers appealed to the farmers that contract farming is not a new thing. It is already happening in many parts of the state. In this, the farmer contracts the crop only on his own free will. Not the land. Contract farming is spreading the illusion of farmers going to land.
Record sugarcane price payment of one lakh 15 thousand crore rupees to sugarcane farmers: Former DGP Sulkhan Singh said that the Central and State Government have taken many decisions in the interests of farmers. Due to which the farmer is connected with the mainstream of development. Sugarcane farmers have been paid a record sugarcane price of Rs one lakh 15 thousand crore and have also expanded their capacity by re-operating closed sugar mills.
He said that with the new agricultural laws neither the mandia will be closed nor the MSP will be abolished. This will increase the profits of farmers’ crops. The former DGP said that the common people are getting upset every day due to the movement.
The farmer can sell his produce wherever he wants: Devendra Tiwari of the Bharatiya Kisan Manch said that with the new agricultural laws, the farmer can sell his produce to whomever he wants. The farmer can now sell his produce on the MSP in the mandi, to the trader, in another state, through FPO, where fair price is found. Tiwari said that innumerable illusions are being spread about new agrarian reforms. The government has increased the MSP. New agricultural reforms have ensured that the buyer is legally bound to pay in time. In this, the buyer has to give a receipt after purchasing the crop. Along with this, the price will also have to be paid in three days.
