Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reached Delhi on Monday morning on the call of the central leadership amid speculation of a change of leadership in Uttarakhand. In the evening in Delhi, he met the national president of his party, JP Nadda. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also visited the residence of BJP national media chief and Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni.
The Chief Minister reached Dehradun from Delhi at around 11 am on Tuesday. He was welcomed by supporters at the Jollygrant Airport. However, no MLA or minister arrived at the airport with the Chief Minister, except MLA Munna Singh Chauhan who returned from Delhi. The Chief Minister reached the Chief Minister’s residence in Dehradun at around 12 noon, where gradually his supporters started gathering. At the Chief Minister’s residence, his supporters shouted slogans for a long time.
As soon as the Chief Minister reached Dehradun, discussions started in the political corridors that he would resign today itself. Later, BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat told the media that the chief minister would go to Raj Bhavan to meet the governor at 4 pm on Tuesday. State President Bhagat will also be with him.
Although Bhagat did not confirm his resignation by going to Raj Bhavan, but it is believed that the Chief Minister can submit his resignation to Raj Bhavan. This possibility was also boosted because a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party has been called in Dehradun at 11 am on Wednesday. Confirming this, BJP state president Bhagat said that central observers can also join it. It is believed that a new leader of the Legislature party will be elected in this meeting to be held on Wednesday.
