Kotdwar Siddhbali Janshatabdi Express has commenced operations between Kotdwar and Delhi. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal flagged off the train through virtual channels. Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank also joined the ceremony through virtual medium. This train will leave Delhi daily for Kotdwar at seven in the morning. It will reach Kotdwar at 1.40 pm. It will depart for Delhi at 3: 20 minutes from Kotdwar. It will reach Delhi at 9.50 pm.
Thanks to the efforts of Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni, after a long wait of nineteen years, Railways has given the gift of Jan Shatabdi Express to Kotdwar area. On Wednesday, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal flagged off this train from Kotdwar railway station and sent it to Delhi. Earlier, the rail was supposed to leave from Kotdwar station to Kotdwar for Delhi at quarter to four, but now the time has changed. According to the new time, the train will leave for Delhi at 3.20 pm and will reach Delhi at 9.50 pm. Earlier, the time to reach Delhi was ten to twenty minutes in the night. At seven o’clock in the morning from Delhi, the train will leave for Kotdwar and reach Kotdwar at 1.40 pm.
Stoppage at two stations
In order to ensure that the passengers do not have to wait longer at different stations, the department has canceled the rail stop at two of the previously proposed stations. Now the train will reach Delhi via Kotdwar via Najibabad, Maujampur, Bijnor, Haldore, Chandpur, Mandi Dhanaura, Gajraula, Hapur, Ghaziabad. In the past, rail was to be stopped in Pilkhuwa and Shahadra also.
