Lucknow . Before the panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government made a major administrative reshuffle on Tuesday late night. The government has changed the District Magistrates of Rampur, Badaun, Chitrakoot, Basti, Deoria and Kanpur Dehat. Similarly, the commissioners of Prayagraj, Bareilly, Meerut and Moradabad divisions have also been transferred.
Before the notification of panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh was released this month, the state government late Tuesday night transferred a large number of IAS officers. Through these transfers, with the posting of new commissioners in four divisions and new district magistrates in six districts, many other officers have also been moved from here to there. Surendra Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed Commissioner of Meerut Division. Shubrant Shukla, Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office, has been posted as the new District Magistrate of Chitrakoot.
