Garampani: Demand for shifting of jam disposal in Khairna Bazar area on Almora Haldwani Highway to the parking lot of taxi vehicles of the surrounding villages has started gaining momentum. The people of the area say that if the system is rectified, then to a large extent the market area will get relief from the jam.
Khairna Bazaar on Almora Haldwani Highway is in the grip of jam. There are many queues of vehicles in the market area due to jamming many times from morning to evening. Along with traders, pedestrians also have to face difficulties. School children are at risk of accident. At times, emergency vehicle ambulances etc. are also stuck in jams. Due to which patients also have to face problems. The people of the area have raised the demand for the transfer of vehicles going to the villages of Seem, Siltona, Bargal, Kafulta, Simrad, Bjedi etc. on the government land situated near the wood parcel. The people of the area say that if the vehicles are operated from the government land near the woodblock, then the pressure of the vehicles at the intersection will be reduced to a great extent as well as the frequent jams will be relieved. The residents have also demanded the administration to take concrete steps in this matter.
The wood should be installed at the confluence
Residents are also getting anxious to shift the woodwork on the confluence bank of the North Shipra and Kosi rivers. The people of the area say that the people of the surrounding villages reach the crematorium at the Sangam in Khairna, but the wood-tie is far away from the confluence. The wood is transported to the confluence by means of conveyance, which leads to waste of money as well as trouble. If the Tall is shifted near the cremation ground, then people will be comfortable. Business leaders Bishan Jantwal, Puran Lal Sah, Mahipal Singh Bisht, Dinesh Bisht, Gajendra Singh Negi, Pratap Singh Gauni etc. have strongly raised the demand for Tall to be established near Sangam.
