Rudrapur: Delhi Police presented two accused in the murder of a BJP-backed councilor lodged in Tihar Jail. From where both have been sent to Haldwani Jail. According to police officials, the car used in the murder will soon be recovered by taking both of them on remand.
On the morning of 12 October, BJP-backed councilor Prakash Dhami was killed by stepping into his house. In this case, the police had registered a case and started searching for the killers. During this time, the police arrested a shooter. Later, during interrogation, it was found that the murder was done by political councilors by former councilor Rajesh Gangwar resident and his younger brother Annu Gangwar with mercenaries. Subsequently, the police arrested two accused, including Rajesh. Whereas the younger brother of former councilor Annu Gangwar and his partner Dinesh Sharma, resident of Sitarganj, escaped.
Meanwhile, it was found that the absconding Annu and Dinesh were arrested by the Delhi Police and sent to Tihar Jail. Police applied to the court to take both of them on remand. Here, on Monday, Delhi Police reached the District Court and presented the two accused. From where both have been sent to Haldwani Jail. Kotwal NN Pant said that Delhi Police presented the accused in Tihar Jail. Both have been sent to Haldwani jail.
