Kanpur. When the Freedom Struggle Fighter Express from New Delhi to Jayanagar Bihar reached Kanpur Central on Monday night, a bag full of notes was found in its pantrycar. At first, this news was not allowed to come out on Tuesday, but about eight o’clock in the night, half of the matter was revealed by the railway officials. After this, the GRP informed the Income Tax Department. Initially, there was a discussion among the officers that due to the lock, the notes could be counted till Wednesday, but on Tuesday late at 12:15, the notes were completed. Let us know that no one has claimed the bag so far.
The train stopped at Kanpur Central after coming from New Delhi
The Freedom Fighter Fighter Kovid Special train from New Delhi to Jayanagar departed from New Delhi at 9:15 pm on Monday night and reached Kanpur Central at 2:51 pm. Meanwhile, Pantrykar employees informed railway officials that the red colored trolley bag was lying late in the train. After which the joint team of GRP and RPF reached there and after scanning, GRP took the bag in their possession. Due to this development, the train was left for Jaynagar at 3:10 pm 19 minutes later. During the scanning of the bag, information about the note in it was made available to the GRP and RPF, but the story of the bag filled with notes was kept hidden till evening.
Counting of notes completed at 12:15 late at night
Everyone was apprehensive that counting of notes would be possible on Wednesday, but the counting of notes was completed at 12:15 pm. There is no doubt that every effort was made to suppress the case. During the counting in the absence of GARP and Railway Administration officials, a total of one crore 40 lakhs were recovered from the red trolley bags. After receiving such a large amount of money, all the railway officers were stunned.
