Police have received complaints of prostitution at several places in the city’s Tajganj, Sadar, Rakabganj, Jagdishpura and Shahganj areas. There was a complaint of giving rooms in hotels without an id. On this, the police raided the hotel situated on Bichpuri Road on February 1. From there, 12 women and 13 youths were arrested by the police. Most of them were college students and students. The hotel staff gave him a room without an ID.
On February 11, police raided the Shubh Resort, the hotel of business leader Rakesh Aggarwal, on Shilpgram Marg in Tajganj. Exposing the body trade of foreign women to the hotel arrested four people, including two young girls from Uzbekistan. These included Bhima accused of running the sex trade of foreign women. The police seized the mobile of Bhima, his partner Yogesh. His call details and WhatsApp data have given information about 20 brokers operating in the city, all of whom are involved in active body trading at different places in the city. The police action has made most of the brokers go underground once again.
At the same time, the police raided the house on Sunday in Tora Chowki area of Tajganj. Four youths and ten youths were arrested from there. The house was rented out by travel agency operator Krishna. He was running the body trade along with Amit, Yogendra, Kapil and Abhishek. During interrogation of the accused, the police came to know that many more trade houses are running in rented houses. People belonging to the racket are running rackets by taking houses on rent in less populated areas. SP City Botre Rohan Pramod said that there have been complaints of body trade in rented houses. A confidential investigation is being conducted. Action will be taken if confirmed.
