New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir has described captain Virat Kohli as a great Test captain. Gambhir, who recently criticized him for not winning the IPL, said that he has never questioned Kohli’s ODI or Test captaincy.
I have always questioned his captaincy in T20 but did not question his captaincy ability in 50 overs and Test matches. In the Test match, the Indian team has done very well under his captaincy and I am also confident that the team will do well under his captaincy in the future.
The Indian team has never depended on one or two players and Virat Kohli has said this repeatedly. Yes, Virat Kohil is the leader of the team and I know that he will be as happy as his team will be happy. He has done really well in Test cricket.
The most important person during the series will be Virat Kohli as he will come back completely fresh. He will also be happy to return to the team. I am sure that he has experienced the best moment of life, when you become a father, there is nothing better than this. The team leader must also be happy and fresh.
As any cricketer would say, it is not just a century. It is important that the runs you score will help the team win. For Virat Kohli, it does not matter whether he has batted in Australia or not, he would have liked it but for him the England series is important. He must be thinking about this because he knows how important this series is to reach the Test Championship final.
