Dehradun. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the state and central government have always been friendly to the farmers and are with the farmers. The Agrarian Reform Act is in the interest of farmers. Parties that previously supported the bill are now opposing it only with the Congress for politics. Regarding the Bharat Bandh, the Chief Minister said that farmers should not do any work which will harm the peace of the state. The Director General of Police has been asked to take care that the law and order situation in the state remains controlled.
Talking to reporters at the Bijapur State Guest House on Monday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that many options have been opened for farmers under the Agricultural Law. Efforts are being made to spread the illusion that the minimum support price (MSP) has been abolished. The truth is that there are still purchases on MSP. He said that BJP and Central Government have always given priority to the interest of farmers. Sugarcane farmers have been paid in full in the state. Paddy is also being paid continuously. Khandasari policy has been introduced for those who work in Khandasari. He said that prior to 2003, there was no electricity schedule for farmers in Gujarat. After the coming of the BJP government, farmers were ensured to provide electricity essentially seven hours per day. It can be understood that who can think so much for the farmers, how can he harm the farmers. He said that the Congress is today the most vocal opponent of agricultural laws and is confusing the farmer. The same Congress included this bill in its manifesto in the year 2019. He said that the Congress, which talks two ways, is itself ruined and wants to ruin the farmers too. Have complete faith in the farmer government. The government is fully committed to their security.
The Chief Minister said that the slogans raised in the peasant movement are unfortunate. Those who want to harm the unity and integrity of the country have come among the disguised as farmers and also want to question the patriotism of the farmers. The Chief Minister said that leaders of all political parties have lost faith in the public. In such a situation, they are putting guns on the shoulders of innocent farmers. The interests of farmers are sacrificed. BJP state vice-president Devendra Bhasin was also present during this period.
