Gwalior Before the by-election in Madhya Pradesh, politics has started heating up in Gwalior-Chambal region. Former Chief Minister and Congress President Kamal Nath reached Gwalior on Friday and demonstrated his strength through a road-show, on the other hand BJP workers came out against him. Assembly by-elections are going to be held on 28 seats in the state. Of these, 16 seats are from Gwalior-Chambal zone. This is the first time in the last two years that Kamal Nath is on a stay in Gwalior.
When Kamal Nath arrived on Friday, the workers took to the streets to welcome him. Their roadshow lasted several kilometers. Kamal Nath got out of the car for a long time to greet the workers.
When the road show of Kamal Nath was going out, BJP workers raised slogans opposing them. The police used mild force to drive out the BJP workers.
KK Mishra, in-charge of Gwalior-Chambal area of the media department of the Congress, has told that the unprecedented reception of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath in Gwalior destroyed all records. Even after stopping the convoys of the party members of the government and the BJP, all the efforts were done which failed.
During the road show, Kamal Nath offered flowers at the shrine of Veerangana Maharani Laxmibai.
