Aligarh In the midst of a coronavirus epidemic, 180 students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were hired by other multinationals such as Tech Mahindra, BYJU, Optum, Chig India, Data Mark, ATG, Hexa View, and Tech Recruity under a campus placement drive. Said Hameed, a training placement officer (TPO), said, “Hired students have gone from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh per year.”
He said that the interviews for the placements were conducted through video conferencing platforms in which 600 students were screened.
“More multinationals are expected to come in the second phase of the placement drive,” said Dr. Jahangir Alam, convenor of Placement Drive.
