Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that Mirzapur division has immense potential for tourism-based development and employment generation. This area remained neglected since independence, but now the sunrise of development is taking place according to the importance of this virtuous area. In two years, pure drinking water will be available in every house in the Vindhya region. The Chief Minister was reviewing the development works of Mirzapur division through video conferencing at his government residence on Wednesday. He expressed happiness over the completion of the ropeway construction work on PPP models at Ashtabhuja and Kalikoh. He also directed to make arrangements for roads, electricity and drinking water for the convenience of devotees.
He said that various schemes for tourism development are going on keeping Maa Vindhyavasini Dham at the center, they should be given an extension according to the need. During this, he said that drinking water will reach every house in Vindhya region in two years.
He said that the airstrip at Sonbhadra would be expanded to give it an airport. This airport will provide a new dimension to the development of Sonbhadra. Referring to the branding of famous carpet industry of district Bhadohi, information was taken about the actions being taken. On which Additional Chief Secretary, MSME informed that an international conference is proposed in Bhadohi next year. This will be important in terms of international branding. After receiving the progress report of proposed Veterinary College in Bhadohi district, the Department of Animal Husbandry directed to complete the necessary action.
Emphasizing the need for better coordination between public representatives and administration, he said that the foundation stone of the development works should be ensured only with public representatives.
Detailed information regarding development works was received from Chief Minister Mandalayukta and District Magistrates of Bhadohi, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur and gave necessary guidelines. The Mandalayukta informed the Chief Minister that 08 projects worth more than 50 crores are operational in the Mandal.
MP Anupriya Patel demanded a bypass road in Mirzapur and a new bridge equivalent to the Shastri Bridge over the Ganges River. On this, the Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to take action at the earliest.
