new Delhi. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed weekly markets to be set up by 6 September. Due to the Kovid-19 pandemic, the weekly markets closed in Delhi for the past several months were allowed to open on a trial basis last week. Now this permission has been extended till 6 September. During this time, weekly markets will be opened with necessary precautions. On Wednesday, on the proposal of the Delhi government, DDMA had a meeting to open hotels, gyms and weekly markets, which also approved the opening of weekly markets on a trial basis. At the same time, the ban on opening the gym in Delhi will continue. A decision will be taken later on opening the gym.
The shopkeepers of the weekly markets, which have been struggling with the financial crisis since the Corona lockdown, have expressed their gratitude for the Arvind Kejriwal government’s efforts to thank them for allowing the weekly markets to open.
While issuing the order, Delhi Chief Secretary Satya Gopal said, “Permission has been granted to set up weekly market by September 6 on trial basis. Permission has been granted for 1 week from 31 August to 6 September.”
The Delhi government says that due to corona in the city, there is now a lot of improvement in the deteriorating situation. Now the economy of Delhi has to be brought back on track. The proposals have been approved. Now all the weekly markets will be available in Delhi. The weekly market is being commissioned as a trial. The market has been requested to follow social distancing.
The tax collection of the Kejriwal government of Delhi has also reduced during the last six months. According to the Delhi government, tax is not coming at all. The economy is beginning to falter.
However now all markets of Delhi have been fully opened. In addition to weekly markets in Delhi, banquet halls and hotels have also been permitted to run the business. The Delhi government hopes that revenue will increase once the business starts.
